Bas-relief on the side of Pyramid of the Feathered Serpent at the ruins of Xochicalco near Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico.This seated figure is thought to have been a ruler or governor. Xochicalco flourished between 700 and 900 AD and was once one of the most important ciities in Mesoamerica. Xochicalco was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.
